The Silva family pioneered grape growing in the Colchagua Valley (near Angostura 130 kms south of Santiago) with the first vineyards back in 1892. Their cellar is the oldest in the valley, with 5 generations still striving to innovate in their vineyards and to pioneer new terroirs in the Colchagua Valley In Chile. They have paved the way for the Carmenere varietal by extensive research studies on the different clones of the variety and different microterroirs in their vineyards.
