The Stanley Park 1897 Amber Ale is an amber brown colour. It enters the glass with a full two fingers of head that remains thick and settles slowly without a trace. The smell is malty with a touch of toasted caramel. Tasting the beer it is not quite what you would expect from the smell. The taste is stronger than expected with toasted honey notes. The honey flavour is consistent through the entire beer leaving the tongue with a sweetened, lightly hopped aftertaste.
